Today was a bit of a rest after all my travels this week - Melrose, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Edinburgh, Airth and Aberdeen. Then tonight along with Jean Black, Anne McIntyre and George Hardgreves took part in an internation conferece call for over an hour - there were people from the home countries along with some folks from around America - these folks have a great heart for Scotland and want to cover this nation with a 'Prayer Canopy' over the coming months - Praise God.
As far as Connecting Scotland is concerned we are looking at the gaps in the 50 day Prayer Walk - next week will be a week on the phones - except Wednesday which is my birthday and am taking the day off. Please keep praying that all our needs spiritually and practically will all be met and that the Motor Home that we need for the 50 Days will be provided.
Every Blessing
Pastor Bert

Belated birthday greetings. The meeting at the Houston House was very good - it was lovely to see such a spectrum of people from West Lothian. There was a lovely atmosphere of unity and I'm praying that many will come together all over the county on 24th May. I hope you can keep up with your blog in the midst of all your busyness :)
Dear Pastor Bert,
A friend in Lynchburg, VA - where I live with my wife and our three kids - sent me your blog entry. Our church (Grace Evangelical Free Church, Lynchburg, VA) has been doing 40 and 50 days of unbroken prayer for the last three years. I am a native Scot, born in Elgin (1966) and lived in Murieston, nr. Livingston (as you know), West Lothian for most of my life. I came to Christ in 1987, a member of Ladywell Baptist Church, and Addlestone Baptist Church (England) when I worked in movies ('87-'88). I met my American wife at Capernwray Bible School ('88-'89) and we lived in Burbank, CA for a year, prior to attending Moody Bible Institute. I was ordained in 1998, while in Seminary (Beeson Divinity School. B'ham, AL). Funny how God works: my second pastor at Ladywell was Ken Roxburgh - he is now chair of Philosophy and Religion at Samford University where I attended graduate school. I worked as an intern at Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (Atlanta, GA: 2000) and instead of taking a job with them following seminary our family moved to Lynchburg, VA. Now, I work p/time as an adjunct professor instructing in theology through Liberty University...quitting a PhD in Clinical Counseling now and working with people in inner healing prayer and mentoring. We are seeing a move of the Spirit bringing wholeness to our fellowship and house groups. Anyway, blessings upon you, brother. Perhaps one day we shall get to be in Scotland? Who knows in the Lord.
I removed the former post with 'Mac' as my name. I am new to this 'Blog' stuff. Better my real name than an alias.
Blessings to you,
Alistair
