Day 21 Saturday 28th April
Our first day with a long, long lie - we are not in Glasgow until 2.30pm. It was great not to be up at 6 or 7 ambut yiu know what - thats when I woke - force of habit now but managed to go back to sleep. I'll not tell you when the rest of the team got up - they deserved it. We met up with some folks at St Silas Church - Hugh Wallace and Dave McCarthey - both ministers - who then whisked us up to George Square to meet with Edwin Gunn and others for a tour of Glasgow in an open top bus. This was great and the pastors were saying that every pastor should take this tour as you learn so much about Glasgow, They were still raving about it at the evening rally. It really was good and a great way to pray around the city - why not try it and in Edingburgh and Stirling too and any other place where they run such tours. The evening rally was in St Silas's Church and was well attended. After some worship I was able to share on Matthew 5 about us being the light of the world - a massive concept but Jesus breaks it down into managable chunks - 'A City' - 'A Household' and 'An Individual. After that a young man named Paul shared on his vision for Urban Experience - worth visiting his website. We then prayed for Scotland and for Glasgow. It was a good night. Back to our digs in Paisley.
